Core Mod System

How the 17th Pathfinders manage Arma 3 mods for operations.

A Core is a single Steam Workshop item that bundles every mod required for a specific mission set, era, or theme. Subscribe to the Core for the week and the Arma 3 Launcher pulls everything else automatically. Each operation announcement specifies which Core to load.

Setup Procedure

1

Unload Everything

In the Arma 3 Launcher, click Unload All in the Mods tab.

2

Load the Core

Enable the Core specified in the op announcement.

3

Subscribe to Dependencies

The launcher will prompt you to subscribe to any missing mods. Let it finish downloading.

4

Verify

Unload and reload the Core to confirm. Do this several hours before the op.

Tip: The Arma 3 Launcher doesn't auto-disable mods from previous sessions. Leftover mods are the most common cause of crashes and desync, so always Unload All first.

Approved Client-Side Mods

You can load approved client-side mods alongside the Core (HUD tweaks, audio, visuals). Anything not on the approved list risks an auto-kick on join from the server blacklist.

Active Cores
