How the 17th Pathfinders manage Arma 3 mods for operations.
A Core is a single Steam Workshop item that bundles every mod required for a specific mission set, era, or theme. Subscribe to the Core for the week and the Arma 3 Launcher pulls everything else automatically. Each operation announcement specifies which Core to load.
In the Arma 3 Launcher, click Unload All in the Mods tab.
Enable the Core specified in the op announcement.
The launcher will prompt you to subscribe to any missing mods. Let it finish downloading.
Unload and reload the Core to confirm. Do this several hours before the op.
You can load approved client-side mods alongside the Core (HUD tweaks, audio, visuals). Anything not on the approved list risks an auto-kick on join from the server blacklist.
The full list of permitted client-side mods. Subscribe to whichever you want.
Currently in rotation. Retiring Cores are still usable but no longer receiving new missions. If storage is tight, just keep the Cores you actually attend.
Subscribe to all currently in-development active Cores in one go. Not every Core listed on this page is in the collection.
These Cores aren't in current rotation but are kept here for reference. You can still load and explore them, but no operations are scheduled.
